Based on the beliefs that every child is unique.  All children deserve the opportunity to develop in their own time, fostering their skills to pursue their own life goals.   We believe that anyone who wants to homeschool their child, should have the opportunity to learn the knowledge to support children in their care in a simple manner – based on everyday lives.  We believe that we as adults can create joyful, creative environments for them, where they can learn though experiences.  This is why Everyday Academics was created by Réka, a qualified Steiner Waldorf Early Years Teacher, who was passionate about sharing the methodologies she learnt in kindergartens.

​Everyday Academics hopes to be a safe place for people to start their home education journey. Through her conversations with parents Réka realised that there many out there, who would love to home educate, but they didn't know where to get started.  They didn't want to fall short and not give their children the best start, they were confused with what exactly they should be teaching their children and without some support behind them, their enthusiasm to start home education faded away.

Based on the ideas of Waldorf education, where kindergartens were seen as a home from home environment for children to flourish in.  The philosophies behind this home education are based on creating a safe and loving space, where children can become who they intend to be,  they can learn how to be in their bodies, learn to develop their thinking abilities and emotional capabilities.

Home education doesn't have to be complicated, Everyday Academics aimes to be your guiding light.   We aim to keep things simple, so that anyone who wishes to home educate their children can be confident with how to create a timetable that is going to be filled with the right subjects and be age appropriate.   We share knowledge and ideas on how to balance physical, creative and academic activities to meet children with all their learning needs.  these ideas are based on your everyday lives, simple and accessible for everyone.
